Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge, presented by the Reading Agency, encourages children aged 4 to 11 to set themselves a challenge to keep up their reading skills and confidence during the long summer break from school.

Children register for free in their library at the beginning of the summer break and aim to read 6 books.
They can read whatever they like in their chosen format – fiction, factual books, poetry, graphic novels, e-books, audiobooks, etc. can all be used to complete the challenge.

They receive special rewards each time they finish a book and there’s a certificate & a medal for everyone who completes the challenge.
