The Space
The Space is Stornoway Library’s makerspace. It’s a shared space for adults, young people and children to make, learn, create and explore, using a variety of tools and resources. Unless booked for a specific activity, The Space is freely accessible to all during the library’s opening hours.
It’s a flexible space where meetings can take place, but we also have board games and Lego available. We have a couple of computers; a HP tower and a Mac, along with a 3D printer, scanner and graphics tablet.
Library events such as book launches and author talks take place in The Space. We also run our Lego Club sessions and Code Club sessions there.
The Space is bookable for meetings, coffee mornings, awareness days, etc. Please get in touch with Stornoway Library if you would like more information on booking.
